Kaysville, Utah
(Settled in 1849)
Received its present name after a consultation with Brigham Young, who objected to the suggested name of Freedom, exclaiming, "When did Kay's Ward get its freedom?" It was originally called Kays Ward, for William Kay, a Latter-day Saint bishop.
